Sean Perry is the owner and primary trainer at Pawlorado Dog Training. A U.S. Navy veteran who served for six years, Sean’s path into training was shaped not only by curiosity about canine behavior but by personal experience. After his time in service, he found himself drawn to the steady, honest nature of dogs — emotionally intelligent partners who respond to clarity, trust, and consistency. That experience deepened his commitment to understanding behavior at its root, rather than simply correcting what shows up on the surface.

 

From an early age, Sean noticed that every dog is different and that behavior is shaped by temperament, environment, and trust—not just obedience.

 

After working through challenges with reactive and anxious dogs of his own, Sean became passionate about understanding the why behind behavior rather than simply correcting it. In 2020, he committed fully to professional training, building a strong foundation through formal education and hands-on experience. He went on to lead one of the most successful training programs at his company, ranking in the top 8% of trainers nationwide.

 

Sean’s approach is rooted in the belief that training cannot outpace the relationship on which it rests. He helps owners slow down, observe clearly, and rebuild connection so their dogs can feel safe, understood, and confident in the world around them. Instead of focusing on quick fixes or surface-level compliance, he works to create lasting change that holds up in real life.

 

Today, Sean specializes in helping reactive, anxious, and behaviorally complex dogs, as well as preparing dogs for advanced reliability and service work foundations. He has a particular appreciation for working with veterans and service members who value structure, leadership, and partnership.
